Mook Lanta @ Night

For the last 2 weeks we have had so many lovely guests. This makes our job really fun (except for the hangovers the next day).

Vanessa and Peter were especially lovely and although they only left this morning, we are missing them already and hope they will return.

As a parting gift Peter, gave us some lovely photos of our resort at night.

Thanks and we really hope to see you again soon

Earth Hour

Today is Earth Hour day. We are turning off the electric in our resort, for just one hour today, in honour of this.

Why not turn off the electricity where you are, just for one hour?

Getting here is getting easier, shorter and much less tiring

As Krabi Airport grows and they start to receive more international flights in Krabi, your journey to us is getting simpler, cheaper and a lot less tiring.

Most airlines arrive at either Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok, which means you need to purchase an extra flight from there to Krabi Airport. Whilst the flight is only an hour long, the additional waiting at the airport and additional flight is the last thing you want after hours of travel.

Qatar Airlines have just announced that they are now introducing a direct flight from Doha, on the 6th December 2016, 4 times a week (Saturday, Monday, Tuesday and Friday).

For many this will greatly shorten their travel time, as Doha is a main hub for European flights, especially if you are away from the main European Airports.

So what are you waiting for?

Laanta Lanta Festival

7th to 9th March 2016

It is that time of year, when Old Town in Lanta, changes from a seaside village to a huge Thai Festival, complete with all beauty pageants, parades, music groups, food, drink and craft stalls and much much more.

The people of Old Town beautifully decorate the village so that is comes alive at night with colour.

Many of our friends are moving their venues to Old Town for the 3 days:

Gin (our Hotel Manager) and our friend Thara have a large restaurant in the park by the sea, next to the band stage where Job 2 Do and other bands will be playing. They will be serving traditional Thai food and Draft Singha.

Stuart and Dada from The One Place, are producing wonderful kebabs near Mango House.

Sandy, has a small restaurant with live acoustic music throughout the evening.

Patou, from Caoutchoc has a string of DJs working at his restaurant.

We strongly recommend getting a taxi (not driving there on a motorbike) there and enjoying the great vibe until late in the night.

See you there

Earth Hour

19th March 2016
8.30 - 9.30pm

Join us at 8.30pm on March 19th, and just live without electricity for 1 hour. Help a global movement raise awareness on climate change and think how you can reduce the power you use everyday.

We will be turning off the power to the resort for one hour at this time, and we will also reward guests with a free reusable cotton bag if they collect a small amount of rubbish that day.
